With the exception of the Hopkins game, which lost the Southern Championship for the Brown and White, and the Crescent A. C. And Cornell games, every match was won by Lehigh. The success of the season is not determined by the champion ship. The team worked hard and put up as fine and consistent a game of lacrosse as has been seen at Lehigh for some time. The season opened on April 7, when the Cornell aggregation hel'd -lehigh to a tie score, 1 to 1. Three days later, Stevens went down to defeat by a score of 15 to 3. Penn State and Swarthmore were defeated 1-0 to 2 and 11 to 1, respectively. On May 1, Johns Hopkins virtually won the Southern Cham pionship by defeating Lehigh 5 to 4 in one of the best lacrosse games played in Baltimore for some time. The Indians.
