This is a comprehensive physics book that makes learning a joyful experience at any age. Using examples from everyday life it shows why physics matters. The drawings made things clear, pleasant, and highly understandable. The text is fantastically easy to follow.
Congratulations Professor Hewitt!

Misconceptual Physics
This book frequently oversimplifies concepts to the point that it encourages misunderstanding and misconception. It would be appropriate for a Physics First type science program, where kids take physics in either 8th or 9th grade, but I would definitely not recommend it for traditional physics courses which are taught to 11th or 12th graders.

If you ever wanted to know
what physics is good for, this book will tell you. It avoids long theoretical discussions that fill so many books in favor of explaining why people study physics.
