Shop drawings, produced by specialty contractors (not the design professionals under contract to the architect in the case of commercial and industrial buildings) manifest the contractor's intentions as to how some portion of the project will be assembled. Site photographs and surveys of various sorts may also be included. Increasingly, various types of digital technology (drones and light-directing and ranging [LIDAR] technology) may be used in the production of topographic maps, grading plans, and record drawings"--
