Shahid Siddiqui has a PhD in Language Education from the University of Toronto, Canada. He has worked at Aga Khan University, GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Lahore University of Management Sciences, and National University of Modern Languages, and served as the Vice Chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad (2014 18). He is currently working as Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Media Studies, Art and Design, Lahore School of Economics.
