Rich wih info and concepts
It would be very rare that I would recommend this book to anyone. This is not because it isn't good, it is because there are likely easier paths to eventually get to this book. A lot of background knowledge is necessary to get you started in this book.
This book is very advanced and rich with information. The book is written from what many would call a very mathematical approach. Although, I've seen much much worse.
This book is not for beginners. If however you are quite advanced in your knowledge of finite elements, programming finite elements, and nonlinear elasticity you may really like this book since it was one of the very first on the subject ever written.
This book primarily focuses on finite elements for nonlinear elastic materials and nonlinear geometric problems. It does not focus on (or cover) inelasticity.
The author is a brilliant man with a lifetime career of contributions to computational mechanics.
