Understanding does require reasonable diligence and motivation on the part of the reader, but every effort has been made to facilitate the learning process. Features Of the more than 740 end-of-chapter problems, 20% are new to this edition. The book is adaptable to both one- and two-term courses, and material can be chosen to accommodate curricular constraints. Material of special importance to chemical engineers including applications of equations of state, chemical-reaction equilibrium, and phase equilibria, are given comprehensive coverage.
