The main topics discussed are the dynamics of linear time-varying and time-invariant systems, stability, controlability and observability, realizations, linear feedback and estimation, linear quadratic optimal control and the main results of unity-feedback MIMO systems. The text is useful if you are taking a course in LST, but the book is very mathematically rigorous. It's explanations require a certain level of number theory knowledge. If you don't have a strong background in analysis and linear algebra, you might want to find another book as well.
