Book goes into practical programming of the Edison, Intel's answer to the ARM based Raspberry Pi. A worthwhile monograph for experimenters with limited programming skills. It is a little light on the architecture of the Edison. Users with some experience programming the x86 will likely find it somewhat lacking. There is little comparison with an Arduino Atmel or ARM. Which shortchanges the incredible power of the Intel 64-bit Atom particularly with the Silvermont Bay Trail i/set. Sort of like entering a Ferrari in a soap-box derby. It will run down hills in neutral just fine.
