Very Good. First edition, large paper issue. Tall octavo. xii, 211pp. Illustrated with portraits of Lenox and Stevens. Half cloth and marbled papercovered boards gilt, with leather spine label. Early engraved pictorial bookplate of collector Edward S. Marsh (dated 1909 and signed in the plate by W.F. Hopson) on front pastedown. Contemporary obituary of Lenox laid down on verso of front fly, binding moderately worn and lightly foxed, upper hinge neatly strengthened, very good. With an Autograph Letter Signed by Henry Stevens tipped-on to the front blank. The letter is one page, written on a folded quarto sheet and docketed on the verso; one short tear at the fold, else near fine. The letter, to a Mr. Ingraham of Philadelphia, speaks of Continental money, a printing project, and his sons.
