Teaching with Love and Logic: Taking Control of the Classroom has been very much worth the time I invested in the reading. Although dry at times, it is packed with techniques that have saved me ten-fold the amount of time I spent reading and learning from Jim Fay and David Funk. The behavior issues in my classroom have decreased tremendously. I teach high school language arts and literature classes at an alternate high school for Emotionally Disturbed and Behavior Disorder Students. Before Love & Logic the majority of my day was spent dealing with behavior issues, now I am actually able to complete a lesson and feel like a "real" teacher, rather than a referee! I have shared my copy with several of my colleague who have now ordered their own copy. They report the same positive results that I have experienced in my own classroom. The best part of all is that Love & Logic is SO easy to implement and does not require a lot of memorization, just plain and simple common sense with finesse. On a scale of one to ten, Teaching with Love and Logic: Taking Control of the Classroom rates 10+ in my eyes. I am a ?seasoned? teacher; I would have given my right arm for this knowledge 15+ years ago. I am now able to leave the building at the end of the day relaxed to return home with energy for my own family.
