This Volume is one of the First Issue of this Edition of Fielding Novels, 1893. Edited by George Saintsbury. Illustrated by Herbert Railton and E.J. Wheeler. Forest-green brushed cloth binding with ornate gilt crest and title on front, gilt titled and decorated on spine; The crest is also on the front paste-down with printing information within. Boards are clean, with light scuffing on the corners. Front is sunned, rear side has a stain shadowing about a half of the rear board. (Also on the front board is the prev owner name in gilt letters. There is also a label on the rear paste-down with his name on it). Sewn binding tight and solid. Top edge gilt. Rough cut pages on both fore edge and bottom edge. Pages lightly toned, are clean and unmarked and untorn. Lettering and design on title page in red and black.
