Many amateurs, who are quite expert in the ordinary manipula tion of radio apparatus, miss much of the fascination of this interesting hobby because they do not understand the fundamental principles on which it is based. The author, in the course of writing this text-book on Wire less Telegraphy, has always kept before his mind the special requirements of such students. Several excellent treatises on radio-telegraphy are at present available, as a general rule, however, these deal with theoretical considerations in a manner which can be thoroughly only by those who have already become acquainted with the theory of electrical science, and who understand, to some extent, the significance of the technical terms associated therewith.
