Janet Shepherd
The Author: Janet Shepherd was born and educated in Melbourne, Australia, and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Melbourne. A deep interest in Asian languages and cultures led her to study Sinology, Turkology and Central Asian Studies at the University of G�ttingen, where she received her M.A. in 1997 and her Ph.D. in 2003.
