John Duffy

John Duffy is professor of English at the University of Notre Dame. John Duffy is professor of English at the University of Notre Dame. He has published on the ethics of writing, the rhetoric of disability, and the historical development of literacy and rhetoric in cross-cultural contexts. Duffy is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship and the Rev. Edmund P. Joyce, C.S.C., Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. Lois Agnew is professor of Writing and rhetoric at Syracuse University. She is the author of two books, Outward, Visible Propriety and Thomas De Quincey: British Rhetoric's Romantic Turn , and has published articles in College English , Rhetoric Society Quarterly , CCC , Rhetorica , Rhetoric Review , and other journals and edited collections.
