Martin Adeney

Martin Adeney was the Chair of the Friends of Highgate Cemetery from 2019-2023, during which it launched a Conservation Programme, and piloted a Private Bill through Parliament to allow it to continue burials through reclaiming old graves. A former correspondent for the Guardian and Sunday Telegraph, Martin was Industrial Editor of BBC TV and Vice President of Public Affairs for ICI. He contributes obituaries to the Guardian and the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
