Michael Patrick grew up in the Western Kern County oil town of Taft, California. In 1972 he started his law enforcement career with the U.S. Forest Service which ended 33 years later when he retired from the Kern County Sheriff's Department. He now lives in the Southern San Joaquin Valley of California and enjoys being a Private Investigator, Author and Commercial/Instrument Pilot.
