Dr. Samir Khan is an Associate Professor at the University of Tokyo. His expertise lies in leveraging machine learning for prognostics and system health management, with applications across aerospace and other high-reliability sectors. Dr. Khan received his PhD in Control Engineering from Loughborough University, UK, in 2010. Dr. Khan's early work at Cranfield University, particularly through the "No Fault Found" project, has had a lasting impact on the aerospace industry. In 2016, he was awarded the prestigious Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship, where he developed innovative informatics platforms for next-generation health monitoring services. Dr. Khan has a strong record of collaboration with leading industrial organizations, including Rolls-Royce, Sumitomo Electric Industries, JAXA, Jaguar Land Rover, BAE Systems, and the UK Ministry of Defence.
