Scott Snell received his B.A. in psychology from Miami University, and his M.B.A. and Ph.D. in business administration from Michigan State University. He is a professor at the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business. Scott Snell received his B.A. in psychology from Miami University, and his M.B.A. and Ph.D. in business administration from Michigan State University. He is a professor at the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business. Before joining Darden, he was professor and director of executive education at Cornell's University's Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies and a professor of management in the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University. Dr. Snell's research focuses on human resources and the mechanisms by which organizations generate, transfer, and integrate new knowledge for competitive advantage. He recently was listed among the top 100 most-cited authors in scholarly journals of management. Dr. Snell is co-author of four books, and his work has been published in a number of journals, such as the Academy of Management Journal.
