Ok, so it's a good book that i initially hated. I compared it to Tannenbaum's and it is better (albeit my edition of Silberschatz is newer than Tannenbaum's) in terms of how it explains and graphically presents stuff. Other than that, i think any OS textbook covers roughly the same topic, so it does not make a huge difference which one you get. Good buy, just try to initially skip the first chapter (Introduction) which i found vvvv boring)
