I purchased this book in the hope of reading it to my 6th grade class. It provides some good historical detail but sometimes it seems like the author tried to pack too much in and the story doesn't flow very well. Dialogue sometimes seems artificial due to the goal of including so much history. I purchased it for the historical aspect so in that regard it meets expectations. Some young readers who are very interested in history will probably stay interested.
