I enjoyed this book because my wife and I had seen all the Poirot episodes in chronological order (of production) over the last several years, and the book is written that way. (We still haven't watched Curtain - don't want him to die, I guess)
When David Suchet refers to a particular story, I mostly recalled the plot, so it was interesting to see his perspective. We also watched the interview with David (Acorn Online) and he stated more than once how he tried to remain true to the Christie description of the French-speaking Belgian with the "little grey cells" and his "mincing little steps", and that he did very well.
It certainly is an unusual thing to have portrayed the same character over a period of 25 years (maybe the only time an actor has done that), and he did a great job of maintaining the character.
