The rationale for having this workbook now, is that publishers are putting so much of their 'extras' online, that traditional paper classwork can be left lacking. But now, no matter if the textbook itself is written in ink or electrons, serious students will find this a valuable way to write in and keep notes for themselves, like generating a portfolio. The activities in this workbook challenge students to apply the concepts, think of real examples, diagram every chapter, and think through things with the authors.
