Like all David McCullough books, I enjoyed every word. While I always like the "nuts and bolts" of major engineering projects like this, I loved the rich picture of the home life, living environment and social details of people thrown together by circumstances. Whole families adjusting to a new and foreign environment, creating new connections and recreating new ways of living "normal" life--babies are born, children have to go to school and make new friends, everyone needs to eat...and it's all different yet the "same" as in their old life. Highly recommend!
