The content itself is not the purpose of this review. Jung never fails to provide high quality ideas. Rather, the actual copy of the book is a major disappointment. I placed this order on 12/8/16. It was shipped on 12/22/16 and arrived 12/29/16. Apparently, someone was making a photocopy of a real edition of the book during the lengthy time between the order and ship dates. The typeface is not solidly black, crisp and clear, which is hard on the eyes. I feel cheated.

Man and His Symbols
This is a very important book for any person wishing to gain a deeper understanding of how and why in the realm of our society structure and our place in it or our unwellness in it. If ever you feel a need to gain a deeper, more satisfactory understanding of yourself and society, this, I believe is the book to read.

Excellent book
Man and his symbols, is probably one of the most important books, and saddly the last one written by Carl G. Jung. It provides helpful insights about symbology and how to understand dreams, giving them a very subjective perspective. The book has only one chapter written by Jung, the others were written by a group of collegues that are part of the intellectual ambassadors of his circle of proteges.
