Would you like to study Greek history with a modern twist?
There's more than meets the eye in KYKLOS and LADG. Check
out these books, or go more in depth with them. They are the
results of my studies and could perhaps set you on a track of living
breathing poetic life.

Still at it -

I am still writing poetry in Modern Greek. I can't stop.
I have learned to live without it, though, too. I now sing in
the church choir and that has kept the flame alive. I am most
excited about the re-curring themes that come up in my limited
vocabulary of Modern Greek for the next books. I enjoy writing
in public places and people-watching as I write.

Not Perfect -

KYKLOS - I am aware of the grammatical errors of the poems written in
Greek. Still, they are very close to proper. The
side-by-side translated into English are cute little poems that retain
Greek thought and are easier to read than LADG which was edited (or is
it 'editted') thoroughly. The Second Edition wasn't even
revised! And KYKLOS bi-lingual effect with two-pages would be
hard to achieve as a digital e-file.

Economics and Greece -

I have heard a new buzzword in business lingo lately, and it has
been, "cycle." Even the markets work in cycles.
I came up with "The Cycle of History," to refer to my
personal relationship with Greece, Greek language, and Greek things,
as something that goes round and round like a gyro.
"History" as not the chronological thing exactly, but also
means "story" so this poetry book has my story embedded
within it. Would this....

Cycle of History complete -

The Cycle of History in large print now comes with an updated title
page decal sticker that includes the barcoded ISBN. I insert the
sticker as sales happen with some prepped. The purpose is to
include the ISBN and copyright numbers as well as copyright years
detailing the life of this book that has gone on from 2005 to the
present. This book has had a long life! Most importantly I
have included this alibris website, which if you have found it, you
have struck....

To Learn -

Reading bi-lingual poetry is a great way to learn a foreign
language. If it is Modern Greek you would like to learn, try
books from X Poems and Music by Christian. It is how I
learned. My books have an emphasis on speaking it, too.

Third Book in progress -

My next book is coming along and I am excited about it. It has
book III and book IV contained in one volume like the Cycle of History
contains book I and II. I have been moved to keep it in Modern
Greek and untranslated, because the theme of this book is symbolic,
but will contain a considerable introduction in English with
supportive quotations. I am also planning to have a
complimentary audio CD of the Greek poems read aloud in English.
Before all of this, I....

How Much Greek is in your Books? -
posted by X Poems and Music by Christian on 06 December 2010

Well, LADG was written in anticipation of a trip to Greece while I
was taking private lessons in Modern Greek. The book was written
in English, classical style embedded from college studies, and with
many applications from learning Modern Greek. KYKLOS actually
contains poems that were written in the country of Greece. After
the trip, much of the conversational style of the book was retained
and the second half of the book reaps the reward of fond memories of
the....

From Rear Cover of LADG -

All I ask is that you try to live your life to the fullest, every
day. What I attempt to write in poetry is the rhyme or reason to
this possibility - an emotion or wisdom about destiny for each of us
to find our place, our geography.

Good Question! -
posted by X Poems and Music by Christian on 04 August 2010

My most frequent question is, well, what is your poetry about?
Well, it is about my journey in becoming a Christian. This
has been explored through words about The Word, the history of
Christianity, relationships, physical reality, nature, The Light, the
love of God, my dreams about the future, and the things I enjoy from
the presence of the everlasting God. I use poetic tools and
metaphors to manifest this experience. Find what
you've always....

First order has been shipped out. I enjoy going to the post
office. If you are interested in reading about Greece or poetic
sound, send me to the post office again. Not only do I hope to
reach readers that are researching Greek poetry, but those that like
to peruse little blurps of wisdom. I am working on editing my
latest book that will introduce with the famous quote of Pythagoras,
"There is harmony in the music of the spheres."

Happy Easter! -

Following Easter, the X Poems and Music by Christian storefront will

English. And now, the Cycle of History Modern Greek
with English translation Cd-sized mini book or handbook. This
edition is one of two of this title, the second is large print
and forthcoming. This cd-sized version does not have an
ISBN number, so I can offer it right away. It is slightly larger
than a cd....

I am new to internet sales, so please be patient. Right now, I
hope to make my self-published Labor Along Destined Geography
available on the internet. I have copies. Next, I will
make the self-published Cycle of History available because I have
copies too, but I may wait until I have my copyright info, then
an ISBN, or I may sell it without an ISBN. I
may put LADG on hold until its info has been sent to Ingram,
so please be patient. ....
